Overview

Although your app can be integrated without any Content Units, you can only fully experience and test an integration by having a Content Unit that is linked to a Placement on the Upsight Marketing Dashboard. In this example, you will create an Internal Cross-Promotion and associate it to your app_launch placement.

  1. Click on your app on the Upsight Marketing Dashboard homepage.

  2. Click on the Add Content button.

  3. Click on on the Add Internal Cross-Promotion button.

  4. Enter Test Ad for the Internal Cross-Promotion name.

Virtual Goods Promotion

Overview

A Virtual Goods Promotion is a full-display promotion used to increase in-app purchases. It's intelligent, powerful, flexible and free.

Virtual Goods Promotion

Promote any in-app item at the right time to the right audience and:

  • Maximize your in-app revenue

  • Turn non-paying users into purchasers

  • Establish a better relationship with whales

  • Increase awareness of and engagement with your virtual goods

There's no need to guess at what pricing might work for your in-app purchases. Real-time testing of everything - from where to put a promotion in your app to pricing - gives you the flexibility to make the most informed decisions for maximizing user value.

If the Upsight servers are made aware that a given user has already purchased a non-consumable In-App Purchase item, it will not show Virtual Goods Promotion Content Units for that item to that user. This is to avoid showing the user a promotion for an item that they have already purchased.

VGP content units require additional instrumentation to function properly, please see your platform's respective integration guide for more information on the steps required to implement rewards in your application.

Before you can create a virtual good promotion, you will need to add an In-App Purchase Product

The following steps can be used to test Virtual Good Promotion (VGP) for iOS. Please follow each step in order.

Integration Phase:

  1. Implement the Triggering of IAP in your app.

Setting up the Dashboard and Testing VGPs:

  1. Enable your device to be used as a Test Device as described here.

Note When testing multiple VGP's use Priority View to drag individual VGP Test Content units to 1st Priority to test on Test Device.

  7. Complete Purchase Flow and confirm that items are added to the app on the Test Device
